PUBG Mobile Update Version 1.2, Presents Runic Power and Power Armor Modes

GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – Tencent has released an update version 1.2 on its flagship battle royale game, PUBG Mobile. Users have started to be able to download patch updates through the Google Play Store and App Store. In this latest update, players receive a number of interesting content, one of which is the Runic Power mode. As the name implies, this mode allows players to use the unique powers found in a series of ancient characters, aka runes.

There are three types of runes to choose from, namely Flame Rune, Arctic Rune, and Wind Rune. After selecting a rune, players will get two skills consisting of a summon ability to summon a bunker and a boost to provide additional special effects. Players will also be given different effects, depending on the type of rune that was previously selected.

Like the Flame Rune for example, it has the ability to summon a fire wheel that can burn the opponent. This rune can also add a burn effect to the opponent who is shot. While Arctic Rune users are able to summon a wall of ice that can be used to lift objects above it. The skill boost on this rune gives a freezing effect that can reduce the opponent’s healing process.

Finally, there is a wind rune called the Wind Rune. The user of this rune can summon a semi-transparent wind shield to reduce the damage caused by enemy fire. Thanks to the Wind Rune’s boost ability, the player’s movement speed will increase, while the cooldown time of charging bullets will decrease. This mode will accompany PUBG Mobile players until 7 March.

In addition to the Rune Power mode, Tencent will also launch another mode called Power Armor which will officially visit PUBG Mobile on February 5. Power Armor will be available specifically on the Livik map. In this mode, players can make equipment called Power Armor from Nano Crystal materials and Blueprint Armor.

Power Armor is available in three types and can give additional effects to the player’s character. The three armors consist of Power Armor chest, arms and legs. If all types of Power Armor have been obtained, players will automatically get an ultimate weapon called Dragon’s Breath Grenade.

Through this update, Tencent also resets Metro Royale mode and updates the list of prizes that can be obtained. In addition, players also have a new weapon called Famas. This type of assault rifle uses 5.66 mm ammunition and can accommodate 25 rounds at a time. Famas is only available for Livik maps.

The PUBG Mobile version 1.2 update requires about 615 MB of storage space for the Android version and 1.5 GB for the iOS version. Players who update the game on January 12 to 17 also have the opportunity to get additional rewards. The prizes consist of 2,888 BP, 100 AG, and Acolyte of Justice Backpack with an active period of 3 days.
