PUBG Mobile Replaces Vikendi with Karakin Starting April 7

GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – Tencent will soon release its newest map for the PUBG Mobile game. This was announced during the PUBG Mobile third anniversary celebration which was held virtually, Sunday (21/3/2021). A number of announcements were made during the celebration. One of them is the presence of Karakin as the sixth map that PUBG Mobile players can later play.

Previously, Karakin had appeared on the PUBG Mobile test server along with the Glider and the Mosin–Nagant weapon. However, when the PUBG Mobile 1.3.0 update was released, only Glider and Mosin-Nagant were present in the update.

Later, the map, which has the appearance of a small island in North Africa, can be played by players starting April 7, 2021. The map, which has a size of 2×2, aka Livik, will replace Vikendi. Even if it is replaced, Vikendi is not expected to be gone forever, otherwise it will only get a revamp or update.

As is known on PUBG Mobile PC, Vikendi had evolved into Vikendi 2.0 with a number of changes. This map is indeed starting to be abandoned from the competitive PUBG Mobile scene starting in early 2021.

In big events such as PMCO and PMPL, matches are no longer played in Vikendi as part of one of the three maps that are usually contested.
