Long-Term Review of Tecware Exo+ After One Year

GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – The author bought this Tecware Exo+ mouse in early 2021. Since then, this mouse has become the author’s daily driver whether it is used for gaming or other productivity needs, and I almost always carry this mouse everywhere. So how is the condition after 1 year, and what is the author’s opinion on this mouse for 1 year? So, here’s the Long-Term Review of Tecware Exo+ after 1 year.

The author’s first impression of this mouse is that this mouse is very light, even though its size is quite large. Tecware Exo + does have a “bolong-hole” design to cut down on its weight, the weight of this mouse is only about 69Gr, and the size of this mouse is quite large, so I personally don’t recommend this mouse for those who have small hands.

The type of use of this mouse is palm type and is more referred to right-handed use because the 2 macro buttons are on the thumb, even though left-handed people can use this mouse without any problems, but you will feel a little uncomfortable because of the macro button.

Continue to the aesthetics of this Tecware Exo+. Personally, there is nothing too special about the design, like most mouse holes. This mouse has 7 buttons technically, but the polling rate, for some reason, this author’s unit can’t be used, so it’s safe to say that this mouse has 6 buttons. You can program all of these buttons at will in the default program.

If you’re looking for RGB lighting, rest easy, this mouse is a “night market” mouse. Yes, this mouse has underlow lighting and lights on the scroll wheel. You can adjust the lights at will in the software provided.

It’s just that according to the author, the underglow lighting is not neat and not smooth/even. Minor hall that makes me annoyed with the software is that all the preset lights for the scroll wheel are too bright, to turn it off you have to use hexadecimal code, personally it’s okay but for other people it’s a bit difficult to adjust the brightness level.

Moving on to the build quality, for the size of a light weight mouse which is relatively cheap, it can be said that the build quality does feel cheap. If the body is kneaded, then there is a “Kriuk-kriuk” sound which indicates the build quality is not too sturdy and feels cheap.

Then after a year of use, the tecware logo on the side is easy to fade, even the author’s use in 4 months has disappeared. Then the traces of use are clearly visible (the black color is no longer matte) and it is very easy to get dirty thanks to the use of its “bolong-bolong” design.

How about the performance of the sensors and switches? The sensor has absolutely no performance degradation, just like new use, as long as the sensor is invited to flick it, it can respond, the sensor also has accurate performance and can almost be used on various surfaces (except glass). The switch for a year of use did not experience a double click, on the website it says the switch is used by huano, but the author has not been able to confirm it because it has never been dismantled.

Then what is the problem with its performance for a year? The gliding, because it is often used on a fairly rough surface, the Teflon-feet is not as smooth as the initial purchase. Actually this is a normal problem during use, and this problem is easily fixed by purchasing a teflon-feet sheet at an online store.

How about the cable after 1 year? There are almost no problems, yes, because this mouse uses a lightweight braided cable, but about the gold-plated por with the claim “it won’t rust”, after a year of use this port has started to rust, not much but a bit annoying to look at.

So what’s the conclusion? During 1 year of use, this Tecware Exo+ is durable and there are almost no significant problems except for the mouse-feet which seems to have had to be replaced to make it more comfortable. With a purchase price of 270K last year. This Tecware Exo+ is worth buying and even in early 2021 it’s still worth buying, even though the price has jumped a bit.
