Pokemon Unite Closed Beta Test Footage Out, Show In-Game Purchases
GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – New footage of the cross-platform (Swith and Mobile) game Pokemon Unite has started circulating online. The MOBA game that will be released later this year recently started closed beta in Canada.
As seen by GoNintendo, the footage shows the tutorial portion of the game followed by some early gameplay involving Pokemon such as Garchomp, Eldegoss, Cinderace, Greninja, and Gengar.
The footage also shows how the in-game currency works. Another video shows a purchased battle pass to unlock summer outfits for Pikachu. From the menu screen, it appears that several costumes can be unlocked for each Pokemon.
Pokemon Unite was announced by The Pokemon Company in June 2021 and is a cooperative team fighting game co-developed with Tencent. This game is still in development by Tencent’s studio, Timi Studio, which also makes Call of Duty Mobile from Activision.
Pokemon Unite will be released as a free game for mobile and Nintendo Switch, with cross-platform play support. This game features two teams of five people fighting on a map, similar to many popular MOBA games.
Players can level up their Pokemon during matches, as well as unlock new moves. In a statement, Timi Studio said Pokemon Unite will offer a new twist on team battles, with a focus on the fun of playing with Pokemon. This game offers fighting, catching and training Pokemon to evolve.
