Officially Launched, FAU-G Game Replaces PUBG Mobile Gets Positive Response in India

GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – nCore Games recently released its newest game, Fearless and United Guards or what is called FAU-G. This game is predicted as a replacement for PUBG Mobile which is blocked in India. The action game can be downloaded for free on the Google Play Store. Currently the game is only available for Android devices, although it is rumored to be launching on the App Store for iOS users soon.

FAU-G succeeded in reaping great enthusiasm, especially PUBG players in India. On the day of its launch, January 26, this game has been downloaded by more than 1 million players and has a rating of 3.9 on the Google Play Store. Prior to launch, nCore claimed as many as 4 million players were reported to have pre-registered for FAU-G.

Although it is predicted as a substitute for the PUBG Mobile game, FAU-G itself has a different genre. If PUBG Mobile is a battle royale game, FAU-G is an action game. Currently, FAU-G only has one mode, namely a campaign that tells the story of Indian soldiers in the middle of the Galwan valley, where clashes between the Indian and Chinese armed forces in real terms occurred last year.

The conflict between India and China seems to have spread to the realm of technology. The Indian government through the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology of India (MeitY) has permanently blocked 118 applications made in China, including Baidu, WeChat Work to TikTok, including the PUBG Mobile game.

PUBG Mobile itself has been trying to improve the situation and plans to launch a new version of PUBG specifically for India. As previously reported by PUBG Corp. as the publisher of PUBG Mobile even dared to disburse an investment of 100 million USD or around Rp. 1.3 trillion. So far, MeitY is still holding on, and hasn’t given permission to re-launch. As a result, the PUBG Mobile community in Indonesia does not yet know when their favorite game will return to India.

Meanwhile, the attraction of FAU-G besides the Indian nationalist feel is that this game was also popularized by Bollywood actor, Akshay Kumar in the “Atmanirbhar Bharat” campaign held by the Government of India. Uniquely, in the FAU-G game, characters are not equipped with firearms.

To defeat enemy troops, players must rely on various melee weapons such as maces and axes. FAU-G itself was originally planned to be launched in November 2021. After experiencing several delays, FAU-G finally really launched and received a positive reception in India.
