Cyberpunk 2077 Review, Won by Challenging Narrative and Mission Series

GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – CD Projekt Red’s obsession with creating a game that has its own world is reflected in its newest action RPG game, Cyberpunk 2077. Through Cyberpunk 2077, CDPR invites gamers to enter a futuristic adventure in Night City, with a number of interesting actions and gameplay to run.

As a narrative experience, 2077 is without a doubt one of the most immersive video games ever, one that blurs the boundaries between the real world and the digital world. Thus gamers can feel the experience similar to the real world. The game, which is claimed to have 50+ hours of play, has a main story that is enjoyable to enjoy, as well as a number of “side” missions that are also as strong as the main story. Each mission offers a branching alternative, through the futuristic cityscape of the Night City.

GAMEFINITY.ID get a chance to play this game for PC version. Although there are many bugs and glitches, overall we are quite satisfied with Cyberpunk 2077. It should also be noted that we reviewed this game with a PC that has met the requirements of the game (not the minimum). We ourselves set the display settings mostly at high levels, by turning off ray tracing to eliminate the “jungle tree” bug in Night City.

Gameplay (9/10)

The game’s challenging campaign missions, fully played in first person, offer an exciting journey through a sci-fi story with engaging themes and fun characters. The stylish and captivating Night City sandbox setting presents a very impressive package like watching a cinematic blockbuster.

When players first start the game, they are tasked with creating a character named “V”. Then set the initial character stats, before choosing between one of three life paths: Nomad, Street Kid or Corporate. We have already explained the explanation in the previous article.

The backstory that gamers choose will determine the prologue mission and dialogue options that will be had afterwards. But whatever the choice, gamers will get acquainted with Jackie Wells, who becomes the main ally and introduces players to the criminal underworld of Night City.

From here, the narrative will unravel more deeply, involving corporate conspiracies and moral turmoil. Delivered through spectacular set-pieces, stunning environments, and some truly impressive performances from Cyberpunk 2077’s additional cast of characters. Arguably, the immersive and flowing narrative of Cyberpunk 2077’s gameplay is the highlight of this game.

From the start of the game, players are free to explore Night City, a futuristic megalopolis dominated by big corporations. Throughout the game, V will get frequent phone calls and text messages, which gives the player a supply of missions to complete.

The game’s prologue takes place a few hours before the world actually opens, and the digital “ghost” of Johnny Silverhand (starring acclaimed actor Keanu Reeves) will be embedded in players’ heads. There is also a mission where players run the character Silverhand, which must be admitted to be the main attraction of this game considering the big name of Keanu Reeves. Before and after, Cyberpunk 2077’s missions are surprisingly warm, with character appearances that really enhance the enjoyment of each mission.

You could say 2077 is a story-based RPG rather than an action-based game, which of course will be more favored by players who really enjoy the game from a narrative perspective. Compared to similar games like Fallout or Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Cyberpunk conversations feel much more exciting and lively, with characters navigating and interacting with the scenery. There’s tension, emotion, and life that make interacting with NPCs really fun even if they usually end in difficult missions.

Graphics (8/10)

There is no ivory that is not cracked. Although CDPR is clearly obsessed with developing this game, the fact is that when the game was released it was full of bugs and glitches that would almost certainly be encountered if gamers chose to play it from the launch of the game. Over the course of the game, we regularly encounter floating scenes (such as trees that seem to penetrate buildings), stuck UI elements, teleported characters and audio glitches.

Whether this is enough to ruin the gaming experience will likely differ from each player’s point of view. We ourselves don’t think this is detrimental to the game in general, although of course we hope we don’t run into bugs or glitches. Not necessarily, though, if yesterday CDPR postponed the launch of Cyberpunk 2077 (which has been delayed three times), this game will be a better game.

However, it must be admitted that this game does use detailed textures that resemble reality. Using REDengine 4 which is the development of CD Red Projekt’s engine, Night City is successfully described as a futuristic metropolis, with bustling streets, television broadcasts, and different districts creating the illusion of a real place. While not as powerful as other open world games, the 2077 map still has a significant size. But it’s the density of Night City’s buildings and alleys that is most impressive, with apartment blocks, markets, and corporate offices lining one another.

Control (8.5/10)

In general, the control mapping of Cyberpunk 2077 is no different from other open world games such as Grand Theft Auto, such as running using the left shift, jumping using the spacebar, to entering the car using F. Mastering the controls of the game is also not too difficult, considering that in every the mode of the game, be it combat, stealth to analysis through Braindance, there will always be a tutorial first and a legend as a button reminder.

Players can spend hours without taking up arms and it’s actually better not to engage them at all. Sneaking into corporate headquarters using nothing but wits, or taking one of Silverhand’s ex-girlfriends on a date to the abandoned Night City drive-through movie theater is more fun than a shootout.

Cyberpunk 2077 also introduces its own detective feature, called the Braindance editing suite, which invites players to review key events captured by the implant. This experience is similar to that obtained in Batman Arkham Knight, yes it is possible that Batman does use technology from 2077 (even though Batman does not use implants) in combating crime.

And when guns and handguns really need to be out, the battles are slow and methodical, often requiring stealth and hacking to win them over. Sometimes even have to use the “1,000 steps” aka escape from battles that are too difficult to win. Here combat may not feel as integral to the experience as in Deus Ex or Fallout games.

CD Projekt has implemented a class system that basically lets players assign points to one of five core stats (Body, Reflexes, Intelligence, Technical Ability, and Cool). This results in a truly custom build tailored to the gamer’s style of play, whether one who likes close combat, or one who relies on his brain to maximize stealth and hacking skills.

Addictive (8/10)

The narrative experience is hugely stellar in 2077 and so much fun because it’s digestible even for players who might not normally have the time or patience for open world games. Regarding this last point, 2077 has a skip button that allows players to fast forward through dialogue or passenger journeys. The main campaign of the game is shorter than the side missions, around 20 hours. So if CDPR claims this game has a game time of 50+ hours, then indeed the side missions or exploration of the game (replays, follow-up searches) have a longer duration than the main campaign.

As is the case with The Witcher 3, Cyberpunk’s optional missions also offer fun variety and some notable narrative experiences, which make an impact on the main story. Players can choose to explore Johnny Silverhand’s past, continue the story cobbled together by other supporting characters, or dig deeper into brain dancing and other lore from the game.

This is where Cyberpunk 2077 feels more original than its genre rivals, with some of the most memorable and unique stories we’ve seen in this type of game. Gamers can feel that CD Projekt Red’s writing and design teams were given real autonomy to create this content, and this shows in the quality of the final product.

Conclusion

Without bugs and glitches, Cyberpunk 2077 is undoubtedly an unmissable experience for fans of story-focused games. But again, it’s hard for us to deny the anger caused by bugs in the released version. According to reports, the latest generation console versions (PS4 and Xbox One) are disappointing, so it’s a good idea for Xbox One and PS4 owners to wait for the patch for the game before buying it.

If gamers already have a lot of games to play during this Christmas holiday period, it might be worth considering postponing a trip to Night City until further patches are planned for January and February 2021. However, if gamers can ignore a lot of graphical glitches, Cyberpunk 2077 is a good idea. amazing experience. With further patches, this game doesn’t seem to be missed.

Cyberpunk 2077 is arguably one of the most memorable games that gamers can play this year. Players can experience several alternatives to adventure which makes this game not enough if only played once. provides total review score 8.4 out of 10 for this game by Insomniac.(zal)
