Ninja Gaiden Remaster Coming to Console and PC in June
GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – The remastered Ninja Gaiden trilogy will release for Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, and PC on June 10 as part of the Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection. Team Ninja’s remastered collection of games will include Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge, as well as the “most” previously released game modes and costume DLC.
Yosuke Hayashi, the chief chairman of Team Ninja said Ninja Gaiden is one of the most important and monumental games for Team Ninja. However, the development team has not been able to release the game series on the current generation platforms, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
“I am very happy to be releasing it in this format as a trilogy. If you enjoy challenging action games, we hope you will give it a try. ”
Fumihiko Yasuda, head of Team Ninja added Ninja Gaiden is the origin of action games from Team Ninja. Yasuda, who is also the director of Nioh and its sequels, was the level designer for Ninja Gaiden 2 and directed the third series. He hopes that not only fans of Ninja Gaiden, but also fans of other Team Ninja game series, Nioh will play Ninja Gaiden games.
“I hope that soon the time will come to provide information about the next game in the Ninja Gaiden series. I’ve said over and over that I want to develop (Ninja Gaiden), but until then, feel free to play as ‘super ninja’ Ryu Hayabusa in Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection.”.
Earlier in January, Team Ninja said there were no plans for a new Ninja Gaiden game, amid speculation that it wanted to revive the series. The Ninja Gaiden series has been around since the late 80’s when it debuted on the NES. The game remained popular well into the 2000s, with a number of Xbox-exclusive games released between 2004 and 2008. The action-adventure genre game hasn’t had a new game since 2012’s Ninja Gaiden 3.
