New Dota 2 Hero Hoodwink Revealed in Update 7.28 Mistwood

GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – The 7.28 patch that Dota 2 players have been waiting for is finally here. This patch brings a number of major changes to Valve’s MOBA game. Changes include a new hero, Aghanim Shards, and a plethora of changes to heroes and in-game items. Hoodwink is the newest hero introduced to the world of Dota 2.

“Always on hand when trouble strikes, Hoodwink lives to face the threats that fill the haunted forest that is his home. With a large arrow while breaking through the forest with great ease, the Hoodwink is almost impossible to keep an eye on in battle.”

Nukers and ranged disablers have an interesting set of skills. His skills as mentioned on the official Dota 2 blog include:

  • Acorn Shots: Hoodwink fires an acorn attack at a target which then bounces off a nearby target, slowing them down and dealing bonus damage. When targeted on the ground, the tree is created at the target position but the added bounce is lost.
  • BushWacks: Uses a trap that stops enemy heroes if they are near a tree in the area. Affected enemies are pulled towards the tree and their sight is reduced to zero during the stun.
  • Scurry: Hoodwink passively has the opportunity to dodge physical attacks when near trees. Can be activated to gain bonus movement speed, gradual collisions, and tree walking for short periods of time.
  • Sharpshooter: Hoodwink charges and fires deadly bolts from his arrows, dealing massive, slow and Break damage to enemy heroes. The damage and duration of the debuff increase over time with the charge.

While Aghanim’s Shard is a new item that is rolling out to Dota 2 via patch 7.28 today. The item costs 1,400 gold and can be purchased after 20 minutes of entering the game. When purchased, this item grants heroes their own custom upgrade shard that permanently adds new abilities or enhances existing abilities.

The item is instantly consumed when given to a hero, similar to Aghanim’s Blessing. In addition, patch 7.28 also introduces some changes to heroes and in-game items. You can view the sticky notes in detail here.
