MPL ID S4 WEEK 7 Recap: ONIC Performance in Losing Circle

MPL Indonesia Season 4 has reached its seventh week and the following is a recap of the seventh week match from moonton.

Almost the same as last week, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Indonesia Season 4 this seventh week still presents exciting surprises; such as Genflix Aerowolf who broke the win streak of Rex Regum Qeon, accelerated the mid-table teams, until the fall of the MPL ID Season 3 champion, ONIC Esports.

On the first day of the seventh week, ONIC presented a different roster formation by shifting Udil when he met Aura. The figure of Trust is believed to be a substitute figure for Udil who has had an unsatisfactory performance in the last few weeks. Despite being evenly matched at the start of the match, ONIC showed a lackluster performance towards the final stages of the match. This has become a separate issue behind the ONIC points that have not changed. Aura Esports led the match with a score of 2-0 through the stunning action of Kaja from Darkness.

ONIC again swallowed the bitter pill at the MPL ID S4 event when hosting Bigetron Esports. It should be noted that Bigetron, Alter Ego and Aura became the team that occupies the middle board in the 5th and 6th week. The dynamic standings rotation puts the MPL ID S3 champion must be “on par” with Bigetron Esports which has several new roster. ONIC Esports, who really led the match, experienced a blunder after daring to initiate Lord when Bigetron was still in prime condition. Bigetron gets Wipe-out and directly targets ONIC base easily without any disturbance. The bad score has extended ONIC’s losing streak since falling against EVOS Esports in the 5th week.

The lower-tier match also took place in the seventh week of MPL ID S4 through the Geek Fam party against Genflix Aerowolf. Although the results of these two teams are certain, they still show an attractive and insistent style of play. Again, Aerowolf lost despite being runner-up in MSC 2021 and MPL ID S3.

It’s a different story with ONIC, one of MPL ID S4’s favorite teams, RRQ was able to beat Bigetron Esports which was quite neat in this seventh week. Hexaz0r and friends have not been able to beat Lemon’s flexible playing style with a productive roster. RRQ seemed to show his “practice” strategy by using one of the newest Mobile Legends heroes, Marsha. RRQ even dominated their 2 games against Bigetron. In the first game, RRQ slaughtered Hexaz0r and friends with a score of 12-4. Likewise in the second game, the MPL ID S2 champion defeated Bigetron with a strong dominance at 10:58 (22-4).

Surprising results were also shown by Genflix Aerowolf after subduing Tuturu and his friends. GFLX even managed to secure the first game quite dominantly. Despite having equalized in the second game, RRQ had to be willing to accept the final result with 2-1 points for GFLX. However, RRQ remained in second place in the standings until the seventh week ended.

EVOS Esports itself became the only team that did not lose during the event in the seventh week. Even though they faced Aura Esports which looked stunning on Friday (4/10), YAM and his friends were made to die with the aggressive playing style of Donkey and Luminaire. This victory solidified the position of the White Tiger at the top of the temporary MPL ID S4 standings.

A positive chance that was secured in the sixth week was able to be secured by Alter Ego. This team appeared quite difficult against the caretaker team MPL ID S4. Celiboy’s fierce moves continue to be taken into account by the Geek Fam fleet. InstincT’s appearance as an idea and key to the game proved fruitful. Doyok, who had been absent for several weeks, also showed his quality as an important player with his Esmeralda game. Geek Fam who stole points in the first game was forced to taste the quality of the team’s game that overthrew the top team MPL ID S4. Through the action of the Rising Star, Celiboy, Alter Ego’s fleet led the dominance and continued the positive trend with a 2-1 win against Geek Fam.

How is the continuation of the Mobile Legends league title in the eighth week? Can ONIC Esports get out of its long losing streak? Or, is it time for the mid-table teams to take over the game and dominate the MPL ID S4 event?
