More Routine Collaboration, PUBG Mobile Passes One Billion Downloads

GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – PUBG Mobile announced that it has surpassed one billion downloads in its third year. This is in line with the Krafton developers who continue to innovate by collaborating with other parties in releasing in-game content.

Most recently, PUBG Mobile will collaborate with Warner Bros. to present the box office film Godzilla vs Kong, which is a new game mode. In its official statement, Sunday (28/3/2021), PUBG Mobile stated that the published downloads did not include the Mainland version of the game for China.

“PUBG Mobile was able to surpass 1 billion downloads worldwide in just three years and continues to make mobile gaming history,” said Chief Executive Officer of KRAFTON, Inc. Changhan Kim.

Released in March 2021, PUBG Mobile claims to continue to provide an original PUBG experience to a wider audience. The developer’s focus is to bring a unique battle royale game to mobile and continue to entertain players through fun, thrilling gameplay by creating new, innovative content.

Meanwhile, PUBG MOBILE Producer and Executive Producer of Lightspeed & Quantum Studios, Tencent Game, Rick Li said PUBG Mobile succeeded in continuing the success of the original game PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS.

“PUBG Mobile has been loved and supported by more than 1 billion players worldwide in the last three years. We really appreciate all the support. Our development team will continue to provide the most realistic and creative gaming experiences, of the highest quality on the mobile platform.”

PUBG Mobile management stated that this collaboration with Warner Bros. was unprecedented. This collaboration will last 31 days from release. The Godzilla vs Kong film itself has been airing in Indonesia starting March 24 and will be released in US theaters and on HBO Max on March 31.
