More complicated, PB Percasi and Grand Master of Indonesian Chess Doubt the Graphics of Dewa Fan Game

The ordinary chess game finally turned into something extraordinary after various parties who “wanted” to clarify actually made the threads of the problem even more tangled.

Although he has clarified a number of things regarding his game against GothamChess influencers on Deddy Corbuzier’s podcast, it actually makes professional chess players talk. One of them is a female Grand Master from Indonesia, Irene Kharisma Sukandar.

Previously, on Friday (12/3/2021) the Indonesian Chess Association (PB Percasi) held a virtual press conference entitled “Online Chess Education and Its Problems from the Dewa Fan Case”. PB Percasi reviews the game’s graphics and the accuracy of Dewa_Kipas’ steps while playing at Chess.com.

Quoted from Kompas.com, PB Percasi found a number of irregularities, especially in the period from February 22 to March 2, 2021, where the Dewa_Kipas game graph was very stable at the top with an average percentage of step accuracy of 90 to 99 percent. This is considered abnormal considering the true graphics of professional chess games that go up and down with lower and upper limits, as well as a wide average accuracy.

For example, Irene Kharisma’s data has the lowest step accuracy of 45 percent and the highest 95 percent. The Federation also considered that PB Percasi considered that Chess.com’s decision to block Dewa_Kipas’s account must have been made by reviewing the applicable rules. They regretted the attitude of Indonesian netizens who attacked Chess.com and Levy Rozman alias GothamChess, which could affect Indonesia’s good name in the eyes of the international chess world.

Shortly after the broadcast of Deddy Corbuzier’s podcast aired, Saturday (13/3/2021), Grand Master Irene Kharisma spoke up.

“Based on Chess.com data and algorithms, the accuracy of Dadang Subur’s steps is not normal. I don’t understand why there are still many people who defend and even attack Chess.com and GothamChess,” said Irene to Kompas.com.

He even wrote an open letter to Deddy Corbuzier, which was copied to the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora), the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI), the Indonesian Olympic Committee (KOI) and Percasi.

“If Mas Deddy is willing, let’s straighten this out so that it doesn’t affect us too deeply, Indonesian chess patriots.”
