miHoYo continued “Similarly when designing the role this Character will hold in the Party, this Character is a Supporting Character, who can become a protector in the Party for other core Characters.”
miHoYo added “On this basis, we make enemy control, and shield formation our main strengths: the Jade Shield (created by restraining Dominus Lapidis), without the aid of Artifacts or Weapons, also has effective defense and scope capabilities. Planet Befall, without the help of Elemental Reactions, Weapons, or Artifacts, can also properly control a group of enemies.”
Zhongli Skills
With the two skill points that Zhongli has, it is true that the role of Zhongli was made by miHoYo as a support character.
As miHoYo said, “In terms of character strengthening, it is not the same as characters who prioritize DMG strengthening, Zhongli is a character who can benefit from Max HP. Zhongli’s skill strengthening from increasing Max HP, is also mostly an increase in party survivability.”
