Lokapala Officially Becomes the First Local Esports Game Competed in PON

GAMEFINITY.ID, Jember – Good news comes from one of the local esports games made by the nation’s children, Lokapala. Lokapala will officially be competed in the XX Papua National Sports Week (PON) exhibition match.

Lokapala game is a 5vs5 moba game made by local developer, Antarupa Studios which was released on February 7, 2021 and has been downloaded 1 million times. This game gets a 4.0 rating on the Google Play Store and also gets 68 thousand reviews.

The Indonesian Esports Executive Board (PBESI) finally signed an agreement with the developer of the Lokapala game. This can be seen from the account upload Instagram PBESI official.

With this very encouraging news, it is certainly an early milestone in the development of games and esports in Indonesia, even though it is only limited to exhibition matches.

In the PON XX Papua exhibition match, the esports branch that was competed was not only Lokapala, but there were 3 other games, namely Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) 2021, and also Free Fire.
