Yep, that event is Character login! If FF players log in on a certain date, they can get a 7 day trial card to get the character of their choice.

The choice of FF characters varies from the oldest to the newest, and you are free to choose which character you want!

This Character Login event has been running from August 13th and will end on August 30th.
