Design

The design of the Lexar NS100 itself is almost the same as other SSDs with a gray color complete with the Lexar logo. This SSD is quite thin at 7mm high and 69.85mm wide. The weight is also very light, which is only 34grams. If this SSD is installed on a laptop, of course it can make your laptop lighter. Oh yes, this SSD can be installed on various devices provided that the device supports the SATA III interface.

Performance

Inside the package, Lexar claims that the NS100 SSD has data transfer speeds of up to 520MB/s. To find out the truth of this claim, we also did a little testing using a software called AS SSD Benchmark. Prior to the test results, the Lexar NS100 SSD was installed on a PC with a Windows operating system with the following specifications:

  • VGA: Nvidia GTX 1060-3GB

From the results of these tests, it can be seen that the claims made by Lexar are indeed true. It even counts a little faster. We also did a little testing when moving files with a capacity of about 4GB. As a result, the file can be moved in just 17 seconds. We have done several SSD trial scenarios such as playing games, browsing the internet, using editor software, and many others. After switching to an SSD, the author feels a significant difference in PC performance that makes work faster.

Lexar NS100 is able to provide faster performance on your PC or laptop device. This SSD also provides several capacity options which of course can adjust your budget and your needs for SSD-class fast storage media. When compared to other SSD products, the price offered by Lexar is quite competitive and of course it can be a recommendation for those of you who want to switch to SSD. For the 512GB variant that we are reviewing this time, it is priced at around Rp. 800,000.
