This is a full remake of the original. This game was developed by SEGA AM2 and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio using the Dragon Engine previously used for the Yakuza series.
As a result, the graphics presented are much better with new lighting and shaders. Don’t forget SEGA AM2 and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio also present new background music and UI so that it looks fresher without leaving the original gameplay of this game.
Not only that, this Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown game also provides online features, where there is a tournament mode so that players can create an online tournament that supports up to 16 players. In addition to the tournament mode, there is also a spectator mode that allows players to watch real-time online matches.
Virtua Fighter 5 was first released for arcade machines in 2006 before coming to PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2007. Then the game was remastered in 2011-2012 under the title Virtual Fighter 5 Final Showdown. Since then no Virtua Fighter game has been released until yesterday SEGA announced a remake version for PS4.
The interesting thing is that even though it has just been announced, this game will immediately release on June 1 next and unfortunately only a digital version for PS4 only.
