Legendary Dota 2 Caster, Dunoo Dies Due to COVID-19

GAMEFINITY.ID, Salatiga – Sad news came from the world of esports Dota 2. One of the legendary casters from the Philippines, Aldrin Pangan or more often called Dunoo died from the COVID-19 virus.

Dunoo breathed his last on Friday, August 27, 2021 local time. The news of Dunoo’s death was first conveyed on the Dota 2 subreddit and then confirmed by a number of well-known Dota 2 figures and organizations from the Philippines such as TNC Predator.

Before he died, Dunoo had informed Dota 2 fans that he had contracted the COVID-19 virus since August 17, 2021, via a Facebook livestream. After that there was no news about his health condition until the news of his death came.

Dunoo is the legendary caster behind Dota 2’s unique and funny voice lines such as “Echo Slamma Jammaa!”, “the next label play”, “easiest money of my life”, and of course the most iconic one is “Lakad Matataaaag! Normalin Normalin”.

The entire Dota 2 community, from the Esports team, casters, and others, is deeply saddened by Dunoo’s passing. And to commemorate his legendary career, the Dota community asked Valve to immortalize “Lakad Matatag” as a permanent voice line in Dota 2.
