Konami Announces Partnership with SS Lazio
GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – Konami Digital Entertainment Limited today announced its partnership with Serie A club Societa Sportiva Lazio (SS Lazio). The team, nicknamed I Biancocelesti, are the latest to join their partner club program for the eFootball PES franchise.
With this partnership, Konami will be fully licensed to feature recreations of the original SS Lazio in its sports games. As the team’s official partner, Konami receives extensive rights to the team’s name and crest, team kits, certain club legends, and various marketing opportunities.
“I warmly welcome Konami to the SS Lazio family. I am sure that this partnership will lead us towards the development of a project that will allow Lazio to increase its fame and visibility on an international level,” said Claudio Lotito, President of SS Lazio.
As already featured in this year’s eFootball PES 2021 SEASON UPDATE, SS Lazio and their stadium, Stadio Olimpico, have been remade in-game. To celebrate this partnership, PES 2021 console and mobile players who log in between December 10 and December 16 will receive the Lazio Legends club as a bonus, featuring legendary players Paul Gascoigne and Jose Marcelo Salas Melinao.
Founded in 1900, Rome’s capital club SS Lazio has competed at the highest level of Italian club football for most of its history. Lazio have won Serie A twice, the Coppa Italia seven times and the Supercoppa Italiana three times. Konami’s latest partnership announcement with Lazio follows the eFootball PES franchise deal with Italy, following previously the Italian Football Federation.
