Half-Life 2: Fan-made Remastered Reportedly Will Release on Steam with Valve Permission

GAMEFINITY.ID, Purworejo – Half-Life 2 is one of the games made by Valve that is still widely played today. Comes with very good graphics, stories, animations for its time, many gamers still make it the standard for an FPS game.

The success of this game does not necessarily make Half-Life 3, the sequel that fans have been waiting for so far, to be here. Although last year Valve had released Half-Life: Alyx, many gamers regretted this game because it was specifically for VR devices. Fortunately, Valve has very active fans and communities, so fan-made projects like Black Mesa are here to treat the longing for a new series from Half-Life.

Half-Life 2

Speaking of fan-made projects, the fan-made Half-Life 2: Remastered game is reportedly in development and will be released on Steam soon. This news was first revealed by a leaker named Tyler McVicker. He found Half-Life 2: Remastered Collection has been registered on the site Steam Database.

According to him, Half-Life 2: Remastered Collection is a fan-made project from the team that previously released content Half-Life 2: Update on Steam in 2021. For those of you who don’t know, Half-Life 2: Update is a free mod that improves graphics and fixes Half-Life 2 game bugs.

Although Half-Life 2: Remastered Collection is not an official release from Valve, according to Tyler McVicker, it seems that the development of this game has received approval from Valve. Valve itself has not officially confirmed the existence of this project.

For now, there is no information on how this game will form and when it will be released. Hopefully this project can present the Half-Life 2 game with graphics that are completely “remastered” and in accordance with the expectations of the fans. Let’s just wait.
