GothamChess Believes Fan God Uses Shredder When Defeats Him

GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – Chess YouTuber Levy Rozman aka GothamChess explained how Dadang Subur aka Dewa Fan was able to beat him. In Deddy Corbuzier’s podcast published Thursday (18/3/2021), Rozman believes that Dadang Subur used the Shredder chess engine in the match that took place on March 2.

“I don’t think people understand how easy it is to do this (cheating). Even on my cellphone, I use my cellphone, he (Dewa Fan) says he has Android, you have a PC. He doesn’t understand that this is easy,” said Rozman.

“You just open Chess.com on your cellphone, you open Shredder (another place). I take one step and get back to your game,” he added.

GothamChess believed that the one he was fighting at that time was not Dadang. This can be seen from the Blitz rating or the time control speed that Dadang uses when taking steps. Rozman said that players who use a chess engine while playing will look slower because the computer analysis process takes between 10-15 seconds.

“The computer will suggest what you should do and you stay on your game. That’s why it takes about 10 seconds for someone to move on. Even for a known move, it’s obvious.”

Levy Rozman admitted that he had often played with other players who used a similar pattern.

“Yes, it’s the same pattern. I’ve played with a lot of cheaters. I meet players who cheat at least once a week.”

Rozman emphasized that he and his fans did not take part in the blocking of the Dewa Kipas account by Chess.com, even though he admitted that he did report the Dewa Kipas account. GothamChess said that the blocking of Dadang’s account was purely Chess.com’s decision because Dadang Subur committed fraud.

“The account was closed not only for playing with me. There was a time when the account (Dewa Fan) won the game 27 times in a row. And the accuracy reaches 98, 99, 97, 98. No chess player can do that. Hikaru Nakamura who is the best grandmaster can’t do that.”
