Gears 5 Will Have New Games Plus and New DLC

GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – Microsoft has announced a series of new content that will be coming to Gears 5 and will be released starting November 10, to coincide with the debut of its next generation console, the Xbox Series X/S. New Game Plus mode will be added for both Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC versions.

As quoted by GAMEFINITY.ID from IGN, New Game Plus will let gamers save the upgrades that Jack has achieved in the previous save game. This upgrade will certainly be needed, considering the difficulty level of New Game plus will be more difficult than normal gameplay. Gamers can also use weapons and new character skins that will be added to the content.

Meanwhile, the Xbox Series X/S version will give players the option to transform Marcus Fenix as Batista, the character from WWE star Dave Bautista plus a new voiceover. The multiplayer mode will support cross-play between all platforms, where the game speed will run at 120fps on Xbox Series X/S.

Gears 5 developer, The Coalition will also release a DLC story titled Hivebusters that can be enjoyed on all platforms. This latest DLC is scheduled to be released in December. Microsoft has not confirmed whether the story DLC will be free or paid content. Hivebusters will tell the Hivebuster team consisting of three people who are ‘accidentally’ captured by the enemy, as a strategy to destroy the opponent’s fortress from within. Estimated gameplay of this DLC is around 3-4 hours.
