Garena Announces Free Fire Collaboration with One-Punch Man Characters

GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – Garena has announced a new crossover event that will bring content from the popular Japanese series “One-Punch Man” into the world of Free Fire. This collaboration will unite the world’s most popular mobile game with one of the strongest superheroes while also giving survivors (players) access from around the world access to playable One-Punch Man-themed in-game content.

“We are very pleased to welcome one of Japan’s most iconic superheroes into the world of Free Fire. We’re always looking for ways to create new in-game content that incorporates inspiration from around the world, and believe that our partnership with One-Punch Man will offer our global community of players more opportunities to play their own way #BattleInStyle.” said Harold Teo, Producer of Free Fire at Garena, in his statement, Wednesday (12/23/2021).

As a unique global pop-culture phenomenon today, “One-Punch Man” which started as a webcomic has now been adapted into anime, video games, live-action films, and has been enjoyed by millions of fans around the world, including Indonesia. Even in the latest manga episode in 2021, an object setting similar to the famous tourist location Taman Sari Yogyakarta appears in a scene. This illustrates that Indonesia continues to be a source of inspiration for “One-Punch Man” content.

Now, the “Free Fire” partnership with “One-Punch Man” will offer survivors the chance to get their hands on the iconic “One-Punch Man” costume, as well as other in-game items and collectibles. Survivors and “One-Punch Man” fans around the world including Indonesia can certainly hope this collaboration will allow them to use Saitama’s character abilities to defeat any opponent with just one hit.

“But it’s different from the story in the manga, don’t expect Saitama’s incredible Super Punch to be invincible you will be able to use in the Free Fire game to defeat the enemy!” said Harold.
