Friendly Match of Lokapala PON XX Papua Game 2021

GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – PON XX Papua 2021 has completed holding a friendly match for the eSports division where there are several popular games being competed, one of which is a local game created by the nation’s children, namely Lokapala.

Even though it was held as a friendly match, this Lokapala game match deserves to be a separate note because it is motivated by the passion to promote games created by the nation’s children on prestigious national and global stages.

“By holding this friendly match at PON XX Papua, we hope to encourage the rise of the homeland game development industry,” said Dedi Suherman-CEO of Melon Indonesia as the publisher of Lokapala.
On the same occasion, Director of Digital Business Telkom Indonesia Muhamad Fajrin Rasyid said, “With the development of the eSports industry in Indonesia, it is hoped that people will not only become consumers, we will also encourage local game creators to produce games that can later become global.”

The match, which was held offline with strict procedures, was broadcast live on the PBESI YouTube channel, UPoint.id and NimoTV.

The Lokapala game itself has been held on September 22, 2021 for the semifinal match.

Then on 23 September 2021 for the Bronze Match and on 25 September the final match.

From the results of the timeline match, the best 4 teams were the winners.

The total prize for the Lokapala friendly match at PON XX Papua is IDR 180 million.

The following are the winners and prizes obtained in the Lokapala friendly match at PON XX Papua:

1st Place = Jeet Esports – 100 Million + Trophy
2nd Place = Dewa United – 50 Million
3rd Place = Capital Esports – 20 Million
4th Place = Pasopati Esports – 10 Million

In this Lokapala game category, the Jeet Esports Team consisting of Dicxon Fernando, Dzikri Adinulloh, Gurbinder Singh, Vesa Herawan and Yohanes Ibrahim won first place after beating the Dewa United team which was strengthened by Denis Haris Prayogo, Indrawan Prasetyo, Mokhamad Yusuf Afrizal, Muhammad Iqbal, and Roger Jeremy in second place.

Then the Capital Esports Team consisting of Arbi Yusuf Ramanda, Fazri Rohi Dedza, I Kadek Arya Wiratama, Li men, and R Asnawi in third place.

At the closing of the PON XX Papua 2021 esports exhibition event, Mr. Frengky Ong, as the Chief Steering Officer and Secretary General of PB Esports Indonesia said, “Since the PON XX Papua esports exhibition opened on 21 September, we have witnessed the greatness of 188 athletes who competed in full strategy and intelligence of athletes. And the teams that have played in the sportsmanship of the athlete promises that it has called for.”
“It is interesting for us to convey, the ability of athletes from all regions to look evenly distributed is a promising potential resource for the advancement of esports achievements in the future. The performance of all athletes in the first round of the XX Papua 2021 PON exhibition deserves to be praised and applauded as much as possible,” he added.

Hopefully, holding a friendly match at PON XX Papua 2021, all categories of games and athletes can continue to advance and get a better response in the future, both in order to lift Indonesia’s esports role in the domestic and global markets.
