For the sake of returning PUBG to India, PUBG Corp. Willing to Disburse IDR 1.4 Trillion Investment
GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – PUBG Corp as the publisher of PUBG Mobile is trying to return the game to India, after it was banned by the local government. Later, this game will have a new name, PUBG Mobile India. In order to smooth the plan, PUBG Corp. is willing to disburse an investment of 100 million USD or around Rp. 1.3 trillion.
As reported by the India Times, PUBG Corp. has just registered its new company with the Indian Ministry of Corporate Affairs on November 21, 2021. The registration coincides with the company’s injection of 100 million US dollars or around Rs 740 crore into the Indian version of the game. The new company has been registered under the same name with a paid-up investment of Rs 5 lakh (approximately IDR 95 million) and a total authorized capital of Rs 15 lakh (approximately IDR 285 million).
The investment made by PUBG Corp. will later be used to build a new company. PUBG Corp. will later build a new PUBG Mobile India office. There is no valid information regarding the location of the new company, although rumors say PUBG Corp chose Bengaluru as the main headquarters.
PUBG Mobile has also appointed Krafton’s Corporate Development, Sean (Hyunil) Sohn as the person who will be responsible for PUBG Mobile India. With the new name, PUBG Mobile India uses Microsoft’s Azure to store player data. This is also part of PUBG Corp’s investment in the game.
In addition, the Indian government asked the developer to make the appearance of PUBG Mobile even more friendly. One of them is not showing blood when the survivor kills the enemy. The map of PUBG Mobile India has also undergone significant changes from the previous version, by incorporating several elements of local culture, including for skins.
