Following PES, FIFA Game Series Will Reportedly Become a Free to Play Game

GAMEFINITY.ID, Salatiga – Konami’s decision to turn PES into a Free to Play game also seems to be ogled by EA’s rivals. The reason is that EA is reportedly planning to release FIFA 23 as a Free to Play game.

This news comes from a well-known FIFA game leaker named Donk. Through a tweet on his official Twitter account, he revealed that EA is interested in making FIFA a Free to Play game like its rival PES.

EA’s decision to turn FIFA into a Free to Play game is indeed quite reasonable. Because EA managed to reap a profit of 1.62 billion dollars only from FIFA Ultimate Team only.

So turning FIFA into a Free to Play game will most likely not change the huge advantage EA achieved on FIFA Ultimate Team.

Besides being a Free to Play game, Donk also revealed that FIFA 23 will most likely support cross-platform where gamers from different platforms such as PS4 and PC can play together.

EA itself has never implemented this cross-platform feature on their FIFA Ultimate Team. Even though this feature is one of the most requested features by FIFA series fans.

Previously, EA announced that they would release their newest game FIFA 22 in October 2021 tomorrow. FIFA 22 will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Google Stadia platforms. FIFA 22 will come with a variety of features and gameplay that is fresher than its predecessor.
