EVOS Wins FFIM 2021, Represents Indonesia to FFWS 2021 SG

GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – EVOS Esports, the defending champion, won the Free Fire Indonesia Masters (FFIM) 2021 Spring after eliminating hundreds of other teams, Sunday (21/3/2021), and will represent Indonesia in the Free Fire World Series 2021 Singapore tournament.

“We are both happy and proud to be able to bring Indonesia’s name back to this FFWS. We were also surprised but we also predicted that we would win FFIM 2021 Spring thanks to hard training and struggle from the bottom to the top,” said EVOS Esports captain, Saeful “EVOS.Sam13” Muharrom, in a written statement, quoted from ANTARA, Tuesday (23rd 23rd). /3/2021).

The victory, according to Saeful, could not be separated from the good cooperation in the team during training and matches. He also thanked the fans, who always supported him, both when he lost, until he finally won.

Garena Free Fire Indonesia Game Producer, Christian Wihananto, said the FFIM 2021 Spring tournament is open and inclusive, allowing anyone with sufficient skills to have the opportunity to become a Free Fire esports athlete.

In fact, he continued, FFIM 2021 Spring provides an opportunity for anyone to be able to compete against the best Pro-Player teams from the Free Fire Master League (FFML) Season III Division 1 tournament.

“As the gateway for the Indonesian esports national team to world competitions, this is where FFIM becomes even more unique because we have community friends so that the competition becomes more lively, excited and very competitive,” said Christian.

“Even some of the teams that attended the Grand Final came from Division 2 or an unexpected new team, all of them have an #IMREADY mentality. For that, we congratulate EVOS Esports and First Raiders for becoming the next “The Masters,” he added.

EVOS Esports experienced difficulties during the FFML Season 3 tournament due to strong resistance from new teams. However, with the good cooperation and expertise of each player, EVOS Esports managed to fight back in the Play-Ins Round and emerged as the champion of FFIM 2021 Spring.

Another interesting thing about this tournament was the new athlete SRN DVITOOO from Siren Esports (2nd Runner Up) who won the Predator title with 13 kill points. The Predator title is given to the athlete who has accumulated the highest kill points during the 2021 Spring FFIM Grand Finals.

The presence of SRN DVITOOO was a new athlete from Division 2, but was able to dominate the match. This is in line with Garena’s mission to continue to nurture new athletes through various competitions.

EVOS Esports and First Raiders, the first runner up, will bring Indonesia’s name to the international Free Fire World Series (FFWS) 2021 Singapore tournament. Free Fire World Series 2021 Singapore (FFWS 2021 SG) will compete for a total prize of US$ 2,000,000 or around Rp. 28 billion, the largest number in the history of the Free Fire esports competition.

A total of 22 teams from 14 regions will compete in Singapore to become the Free Fire world champion. The Play-Ins round will bring together the 12 teams that finished first or second in their respective regional tournaments.

The top two teams will then join the 10 best teams in the world who are already waiting for the Finals. All teams will compete in 6 rounds, across 3 maps, to be the last one standing, with points based on the rank of each round and the number of kills.

FFWS 2021 SG will hold the Play-ins on 22 May and the Finals on 29 May. It was previously announced that it would be held on April 24 (Play-Ins) and May 1 (Finals), but was postponed due to developments in the situation and local regulations.

FFWS 2021 SG is proof of Garena’s ongoing commitment to providing attractive and competitive esports content for the global community. Garena also ensures that all activities are in line with applicable health protocols and travel rules.

To achieve this goal, Garena is organizing FFWS 2021 SG with support from the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and in close collaboration with various industry experts and organizations such as the Singapore Cybersports and Online Gaming Association (SCOGA).
