Evil Geniuses Surprisingly Brings iceiceice To The DotA 2 Roster!

North American eSports organization Evil Geniuses wrapped up today’s Dota 2 roster with the surprise addition of one of the game’s most experienced offlaners, iceiceice.

Following the removal of RAMZES666 from the team’s active roster, EG has taken the opposite direction for his successor, signing Daryl Koh “iceiceice” Pei Xiang to the lineup.

Some of his players welcome this new arrival:

Iceiceice’s professional career stretches further than the start of Dota 2, having played competitively since 2005.

One of the most prestigious esports players in Singapore, iceiceice previously spent two years with Fnatic, whose Dota team is based in Malaysia.

Iceiceice will be the second Southeast Asian player to move to North America and EG, joining current Filipino midlaners, Abed Azel “Abed” Yusop.

EG continues to build arguably the most diverse team in Dota, now with a Singaporean joining the Philippines lineup, a Canadian in Artour “Arteezy” Babaev, a Danish in Andreas “Cr1t-” Nielsen, and a Israel on Tal “Fly” Aizik.

EG last played in full line-up at DOTA Summit 12 in March, just before the coronavirus pandemic suspended DPC.

The team has played with at least two substitutes since then, because Abed and Ramzes unable to join the squad due to travel restrictions necessitated by the pandemic.

Evil Geniuses Dota 2 roster:

  1. Artour “Arteezy” Babaev
  2. Abed Azel “Abed” Yusop
  3. Daryl “iceiceice” Koh
  4. Andreas “Cr1t-” Nielsen
  5. Tal “Fly” Aizik

EG is not scheduled for any upcoming tournaments, so it may take fans a while to be able to watch the new roster in action.
