Dota 2 Pro Player, DemoN Prohibited from Competing Due to Alleged Sexual Harassment

GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – Professional Dota 2 player Jimmy Ho aka “DeMoN”, has been banned indefinitely from participating in the North American DPC League. He was judged to have sexually harassed while participating in the previous Dota 2 tournament. This announcement is shared through the account NA DPC League official Twitter.

“Player Jimmy “DeMoN” Ho has been banned from participating in the DPC due to an error in the previous Dota 2 tournament. Aristotle’s team can continue to compete in the NA DPC league and will be allowed to register substitutes.”

Luckily, the DeMoN team, Aristotle will be allowed to continue competing in the NA DPC League after registering a substitute. DeMoN has repeatedly been accused of sexual harassment. In June 2021, former Twitch staffer Eleine Sun accused DeMoN of taking her into a small room and demanding a kiss from her as she closed the door.

However, the specific reason behind the DeMoN ban is still uncertain. In response to a tweet from Peter “Ppd” Dager, BTS founder David Parker said they had received “substantiated information” when they banned DeMoN from BTS events last year.

DeMoN continued to deny these allegations through a series of Tweets he posted shortly after his ban. “It’s absolutely ridiculous that accusations from unknown people can damage your reputation and your career as a whole,” Demon said. “I deny ALL the accusations. A horrible statement does NOT make anyone guilty, but that’s what it feels like over and over again.”
