Crash Bandicoot 4 Will Be Released on PS5, Xbox Series, Switch, and PC

Activision Blizzard has announced that it will release Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time on the next generation of consoles, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, as well as Nintendo Switch and PC. The next-gen console version will be released on March 12, 2021, with PC and Switch version dates to be announced soon.

Developed by Toys For Bob, Crash Bandicoot 4 was first released for the last generation consoles, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 2, 2021. According to ’s assessment, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is the best platform game of the modern era, with a number of updates while retaining the classic elements of the game.

The update includes the use of Quantum Masks, which allow Crash and Coco to use special skills. In addition to using Crash and Coco, players will also play other familiar characters, such as Tawna, Dingodile to Neo Cortex. Each additional character has its own abilities.

Meanwhile, the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions will support 4K visuals with 60 FPS, faster load times and 3D audio. Players who have purchased the last generation version of the game can upgrade the game to the next generation console for free, depending on the console family they are playing (PS4 to PS5, Xbox One to Xbox Series X/S), with save data also transferable.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is the continuation of the Crash Bandicoot trilogy that Naughty Dog worked on and released on PlayStation about 20 years ago. In-game additions include wall-running, rope swinging, rail grinding for the main characters, Crash and Coco. In the game there will also be side levels with different timeline narratives, including flashback tapes where players have to play side-scrolling levels in the style of classic platform games.
