Coming back to India, PUBG Mobile adapts to local culture
GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – Had been withdrawn on October 30, the PUBG Mobile game returned to India by adapting several aspects of the game to the local culture. Previously, this game was banned by the government last September, followed by PUBG Corporation’s steps not long after which no longer gave Tencent Games franchise licenses in India to distribute PUBG Mobile.
Although it has been withdrawn from circulation on October 30, but some people who install this game on Android and iOS phones can still play past that date. Moreover, the PUBG Mobile gaming community in India is also not small. Now gamers in India can breathe a sigh of relief, after PUBG Corporation announced they would return to the country. Quoted from NDTV, later this game will return with the name PUBG Mobile India which is specifically made for the Indian market.
PUBG Mobile India game will be adapted to local culture. Several aspects of the game will be adapted to reflect India, such as the setting of places in India and the clothing the characters wear. PUBG Mobile India will also provide an age limit to play. PUBG Mobile’s return to India has also been confirmed via the @pubgmobile.in.official Instagram account.
PUBG claims to be committed to providing maximum data protection and complying with the applicable rules in the country. PUBG Corporation will conduct audits and verifications of their storage systems on a regular basis, to ensure Indian player data is safe.
Apart from gaming, PUBG Corporation plans to set up an office in India and employ more than 100 people to improve their services and communications. PUBG Corporation and Krafton, parent company committed to investing USD 100 million in India to develop local games, eSports, entertainment and information technology.
