China's LINE and NetEase Games reach agreement to develop multiple games

GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – LINE Corporation (“LINE”) and NetEase Games have signed a non-exclusive agreement so that NetEase Games can integrate LINE social media into his mobile game. LINE puts forward a standalone Smart Portal strategy where the LINE messaging app serves as a gateway that allows users to seamlessly connect with people, information, services, companies and well-known brands.

LINE provides high-value services to more than 82 million monthly active users (MAU) in Japan. LINE 1’s “channeling model” allows developers to tap into their wide user base and other social channels in their games. Various hit titles produced by NetEase Games have implemented this model, including Knives Out and Identity V.

NetEase Games is the online games business division of NetEase Inc. (NASDAQ: NTES). The company develops and operates the most popular games for PC and smartphones in China. As one of the largest game producers in the world by providing high quality online game content, NetEase Games has significantly increased its presence on the international stage, helping game studios around the world to grow their businesses.

NetEase Games partners with globally renowned game makers such as Blizzard Entertainment and Mojang AB (a subsidiary of Microsoft Corporation) to strengthen their development skills and world-class research and development capacity to operate the most popular international online games in China.

Together, LINE and NetEase Games will bring a new gaming experience to players across Asia by combining LINE’s messenger-based service with popular games from NetEase Games.
