Amazon EU Ensures Limited Stock PS5 Will Be Available First Day of Launch
GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – Amazon Europe has confirmed it will take orders for the PlayStation 5 when the next-gen console launches in Europe this week. As reported by Console & GPU updates on twitter account @PS5sales, Amazon has emailed customers in the UK, Italy and Spain on Monday (11/16/2021) to notify them that the stock PS5 sale will be on a limited basis for purchase online starting November 19 at 12 noon UK time.
“We will make every effort to ship all orders as quickly as possible. If you have placed an order, we will email you with an estimated delivery date. However, this may change.”
Retailer UK Games will also be taking limited PS5 console orders online on launch day. PS5 pre-orders launched in September and early stock of both consoles quickly ran out. Shortly after, Amazon warned some customers who had pre-ordered the PS5 that they might not receive their console at launch.
The PS5 itself was launched in the United States, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea on November 12. In Europe, the PS5 retails for 500 EUR or 450 GBP for the standard edition and 400 EUR or 360 GBP for the Digital Edition.
Meanwhile, the PS5 itself will only start entering the Indonesian market on January 22, 2021. The PS5 Digital Edition will be available at a recommended retail price of IDR 7,299 million and the PS5 with an Ultra HD Blu-ray disk drive (standard edition) will be available with an SRP of IDR 8 ,799 million.
