Ahead of the SEA Games, 2 Indonesian StarCraft II Athletes Fly to South Korea to Practice
GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – Ahead of the 2021 SEA Games, two eSports athletes from Indonesia for the StarCraft II game, namely Bindan ‘Deruziel’ Lukman and Emmanuel ‘Quantel’ Enrique will flown to South Korea. In the country of ginseng, the two StarCraft II gamers will train with Jake ‘NoRegreT’ Umpleby. The training will last for 7 days from 19 – 24 November 2021.
Before being flown to Korea, AKG Games as the exclusive partner of Blizzard Entertainment invited Deruziel and Quantel to attend a press conference. Felix Huray as General Manager of AKG Games stated that the departure of the two athlete representatives was his support for Indonesia in order to maximize its achievements at the 2021 SEA Games.
“Our form of support for Indonesia at the 2021 SEA Games is to support the eSports community in the country by sending 2 StartCraft 2 athletes to train intensively in South Korea,” he said.
“In South Korea, Deruziel and Quantel will train intensively with one of the best coaches in South Korea, Jake ‘NoRegreT’ Umpleby,” he added.
Jake “NoRegreT” Umpleby has been playing StarCraft II since 2010 and has recorded more than 60,000 games of StarCraft II playing. The 23-year-old Canadian also manages the international team and has coached two players towards the championship in South Korea. (fa)
