GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – The legendary console company from Japan, Sega is one of the parties affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Sega is reported to be selling their arcade business to Genda Inc after Sega agreed to sell 85.1 percent of its stake in the arcade game business called Sega Entertainment.

For your information, Genda Inc. is a rental service provider company based in Tokyo, Japan. Arcade games are coin-operated game machines, which reached their peak in the 80-90s. Usually these game machines are installed in public places such as restaurants, cinemas, to entertainment centers.

“We will also continue to develop arcade games. But for now we will focus on developing the home video game console business which is expected to grow in the future,” Sega said in a statement.
