7 of the Most Strange and Annoying Monsters in Resident Evil

GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – This year marks the 25th anniversary of Capcom’s survival horror franchise, Resident Evil. Throughout its long history, Resident Evil does have many scary monsters. Call it Mr. X (Resident Evil 2) and Nemesis (Resident Evil 3), who can pursue characters aggressively with intimidating features, to giant crocodiles are examples of iconic and legendary enemies from the franchise.

Even so, not all monsters in Resident Evil leave a deep impression on their fans. Some monsters have strange shapes and are even annoying for gamers to deal with. Quoted from Screenrant, here are the strangest and most annoying monsters in the Resident Evil franchise.

Ooze (Resident Evil Revelations)

Ooze is the main enemy of Resident Evil Revelations. These monsters filled the passage of Queen Zenobia’s ship with their slime. Although actually designed with impeccable ambition and disgusting appearance, many fans judged Ooze to fail to meet the “standard” monster in RE. Ooze’s presence wasn’t too intimidating, but rather ridiculous.

Zombie Elephant Titan (Resident Evil Outbreak File 2)

The T virus in Resident Evil has indeed succeeded in infecting various creatures. Not only humans who become zombies, dogs, and even giant spiders can turn into monsters if they are infected with this Umbrella virus. However, what happens if this virus attacks the zoo, and infects elephants?

That’s what happened to the Zombie Elephant Titan in Resident Evil Outbreak File 2. The rampaging giant elephant is scary, but its presence is considered to reduce the seriousness of the game. With the backdrop of a random group of civilians trying to escape from Raccoon City, fighting zombie elephants does seem too ridiculous.

Novistador (Resident Evil 4)

Insect monsters are scary. But the Novistador actually seems to be an obstacle in Resident Evil 4. These ridiculous giant grasshoppers are a headache to deal with as they buzz through the air. Not quite there, they can even become invisible.

Ramon Salazar (Resident Evil 4)

Although considered one of the best Resident Evil games, RE4 apparently has a variety of strange and annoying monsters. It doesn’t feel wrong if their leader is shown to Ramon Salazar. This boss with Napoleon complex syndrome has a stunted posture with a terrible and annoying voice. Even when he turns into a strange monster, Salazar becomes an annoying boss to deal with.

Ivy (Resident Evil 2 Remake)

Ivy’s design in the original Resident Evil 2 was literally just a plant walking with its mouth. Even so, Ivy actually looks more like a zombie. However, Ivy becomes a nightmare that must be faced because it is one of the monsters that are often encountered and difficult to kill. Not to mention, if the player does not have a sub-weapon, the player can be killed in one go.

Armadura (Resident Evil 4)

Another annoying enemy from RE4. The suit of armor goes like an ancient horror story. In Resident Evil 4, there is a parasite that controls it so it seems too “forced”. Parts of Armadura feel like they’re from a completely different horror game, not part of the Resident Evil universe.

Giant Moth (Resident Evil 2)

A giant moth seems difficult to bypass in the event of a zombie apocalypse. Moths are not the first thing that comes to mind when thinking of scary horror creatures. To make matters worse, the Giant Moth was a failed BOW experiment, rendering the creature unable to fly properly due to its enormous proportions.

Players can kill these monsters, but will more often choose to avoid them altogether. No wonder this one monster is not part of the monster remake in Resident Evil 2 Remake.
