2 Ways to Make a Bootable Flashdisk
To re-install using a USB Flashdisk, you must configure so that your Flashdisk can become a bootable USB and become an installer media. There are many applications that can be used to create a Bootable USB.
We will provide two sample applications that you can use to create a bootable USB. Previously, please provide a USB Flashdisk with a minimum size of 4-8 GB and also the ISO file of the operating system installer to be installed.
1. Create a Bootable USB with Rufus
1. First of all, please download or download and install Rufus app in the computer.
2. After installing, Rufus will automatically run itself and this is the main page that will appear. Rufus will also automatically detect the USB Flashdisk that you have plugged into the computer port. Please click the disk icon or symbol as shown in the image below.
3. Then you will be directed to the browse page. Please find the location where you saved the ISO file of the operating system installer to be installed. Then click Open.
4. Then you will be redirected back to the application. You can see that the ISO application has been selected. All of the above settings have been adjusted so that the installer can run smoothly on your bootable USB later. Please click Start.
5. Then a warning box will appear as below. Please click OK.
6. Rufus will run the process. Please wait for the process to finish running.
7. This is the display after the bootable USB creation process is complete. Please click Close. Then reboot or restart the computer. Then continue by selecting the boot priority on the computer and placing the USB Flashdisk as a priority so that the computer can immediately read the USB Flashdisk once it is alive and will install the operating system on the bootable USB that we previously created.
2. Create a Bootable USB with UNetbootin
1. First of all, please download or download and install UNetbootin app in the computer.
2. Run the application until it exits the main page. The application will automatically detect the drive or port where your USB is plugged in. Then click the horizontal three-dot icon as shown in the picture (and we have given an arrow).
3. Then you will be directed to the browse page. Please find the location where you saved the ISO file of the operating system installer to be installed. Then click Open.
4. Then you will be redirected back to the application. You can see that the ISO application has been selected. Please click the button OK.
5. The UNetbootin application will then run the process. Wait for it to finish.
6. If the application has finished running the process, a display like the one below will appear. Please click Exit. Then reboot or restart the computer. Then continue by selecting the boot priority on the computer and placing the USB Flashdisk as a priority so that the computer can immediately read the USB Flashdisk once it is alive and will install the operating system on the bootable USB that we previously created.
