16 Esports Teams Ready to Compete in Valoran First Strike Indonesia

GAMEFINITY.ID, Jakarta – The new esports tournament for the Valorant game by Riot Games is ready to be held in Indonesia. Riot Games collaborated with event organizer One Up as the official partner for organizing the first Esports tournament in the country. After going through a series of tournaments that also aim to build the Valorant community in Indonesia, now Riot Games and One Up will hold the main match of Valorant First Strike Indonesia on 2-6 December 2021.

The new tournament will provide a total prize of IDR 100 million which will be contested by 16 esports teams. Valorant First Strike Indonesia is also part of an international tournament held simultaneously in Southeast Asia. One Up’s VP of Business Development, Edwin, admitted that he was very enthusiastic about the exclusive collaboration between One Up and Riot Games Southeast Asia.

“The organization of this exclusive and official tournament in Indonesia has received positive responses from FPS (First Person Shooter) gamers. It can be seen from the number of players who reach a rank higher than the required rank requirements, at least they have touched the Diamond 1 level, especially the VALORANT game itself was just launched last June.”

Riot Games looks very ready to build Valorant as the newest Esports tournament game besides League of Legends. They have also prepared a tournament titled Valorant Champions Tour which provides opportunities for professional players to advance to regional and international levels.

The Valorant Champions Tour has three tiers. Challenger, focusing on the regional competition of local teams which will be participated by eight teams. The Masters level is a global match between 16 teams from around the world. Highest is the Champions contains 16 of the best teams in the world.
