Finally Esports in Indonesia Has Laws – Invitations

GAMEFINITY.ID, Denpasar – Good news for all esports players in Indonesia, the article, reported from the K-Case Lawyer Instagram account, the PBESI Regulation has been ratified. With this, Esports in Indonesia already has a law.

As we already know, Esports activities in Indonesia are indeed more intensive, but this Esports activity does not yet have a legal umbrella, therefore the Indonesian Esports Executive Board or abbreviated as PBESI has the initiative to make regulations on Esports activities in Indonesia.

This legislation was passed on July 17, 2021 yesterday, since that date all esports activities in Indonesia have standardized regulations. In Law No. 3 of 2005 concerning the National Sports System, it is stated that the parent organization can form managerial regulations in regulating its sports.

So what are the regulations from the PBESI? There are several important provisions regulated in the PBESI regulation, namely:

V. transfer and dismissal of Professional Players and Athletes;

VIII. Indonesian Esports platform;
IX. League and Tournament hosting vendors;
X. arbitration provisions;
XI. match problem checking procedures;
XII. broadcasting rights and media access;
XIII. coaching Indonesian Professional Athletes;
XIV. national training center;
XV. Games and Game publishers;
XVI. Sponsors;
XVII. Anti-Doping;
