This is the Ranked Mode System in the Valorant Game & How it Works

After being silent for a long time at the urging of fans asking for a ranked mode system for the Valorant game, Riot Games is finally willing to bring a new feature to the PC game. The news of the presence of this ranking system was announced by Riot Games on its official website on Saturday, 25/04/20. On the page, Riot Games explains that the competitive mode for Valorant will not be much different from other multiplayer games.

Of course, the presence of this ranked system will make Valorant players even more motivated to pursue rank, and continue to strive to be in the top rank as the top player in that mode.

How the Valorant Mode Rank System Works

• Players are required to complete the match 20 times in order to open competitive mode.
• There are 8 ranks with each having 3 tiers, except for Final Rank.
• Players can party to join the ranked game with a maximum number of 5 players. With a rank distance between a maximum of 2 ranks.
• Rank will not appear in competitive matches if the player stops playing for 14 days. However, the previously obtained rank will not be lost.
• Ranks that have been obtained from the closed beta will be lost and cannot be brought to the global version later.

In addition to showing the extent of your competitive skills when playing Valorant, the competitive mode feature will make it easier to meet players of the same level more quickly. That way, the game will run more exciting because high-skilled players will only play with equal opponents.

Unfortunately, Riot Games has not explained further when the competitive mode ranked game will be released on Valorant. Riot just said that the rating mode on the game Valorant is coming in a few weeks. What is certain is that this ranking mode will be available after Riot Games releases patch version 0.49 for Valorant. And for now competitive mode will only be available in the EU and NA regions.

Previously, during the closed beta, Valorant game fans urged Riot to bring a ranked system into the FPS game. However, Riot Games as the publisher of the Valorant game admits that they still don’t want to present a mode that can regulate player ratings.

Responding to the pressure, Trevor Romleski, who serves as the head designer of the Valorant game, said that his party has a reason why Riot Games is reluctant to introduce a ranked system.

According to Trevor, his party wants to give each player time to learn and adjust to the game of Valorant. Such as understanding the details of using Valorant weapons and abilities, understanding each selected character or agent, and knowing the details of each available map.

Later, after the players understand the pattern of the game and how to strategize the ranked mode will be presented. Riot Games hopes that this ranking system can boost the interest of players who were previously less interested in playing normal mode.
