The International 2021 Qualification Series Will Start on July 3rd!

The International 2021 qualifying series will begin this week. Hundreds of teams from around the world will fight for slots to the biggest annual tournament Dota 2. Everything for prize pool of US$25 million plus the title as the best team in the world.

This year, The International 2021 qualification was quite brutal. Because there are 12 teams that have received direct invitations, it means that the qualification in each of the six regions will only take one team to play at The International 2021. With very limited slots, the competition in this qualifier is of course fierce.

The International qualification consists of two phases, namely an open qualification followed by a closed qualification. Open qualifiers are places where all the teams compete for a place to the closed qualifiers. After that, eight teams will play in closed qualifiers to compete for one slot for The International 2021.

But the open qualifiers are not looking for eight teams. In the closed qualifiers, there are already several teams that get slots first and wait without the need to play in the open qualifiers. Each region has a different number of invited qualifying teams. This means that the empty slots for the open qualifying team are also different.

The Southeast Asia region itself only has two teams waiting for the closed qualifiers, namely BOOM ID (Indonesia) and Mineski (Philippines). This means that there are six slots that can be taken by teams from open qualifiers. These six slots are divided into two separate qualifiers, each seeking three teams.

If you have a team that wants to fight in The International 2021 qualifiers, registration is still open until before the first match starts. Just register your team in the first or second qualifier.
