Tencent Showcases First Gameplay in Metal Slug: The Awekening
What would happen if classic games were injected with some new elements. Surely it will be more interesting, right? This is obtained for Metal Slug: Awakening. And recently Tencent is showing off the first preview of the gameplay of the game, which is the Metal Slug franchise for the mobile platform.
An interesting fact that we need to know is that the game was originally titled Metal Slug Symbol: J and was announced during the official press conference for the Chinese brand.

Metal Slug: Awakening Premiere Gameplay Revealed
Through the Twitter account of @ZhugeEx, Tencent showed a gameplay of the Metal Slug Awekening game which lasted less than 2 minutes. The video shows some of the interesting content offered by the game.
Daniel Ahmad himself revealed that Metal Slug: Awakening will open a closed beta period in the near future. But unfortunately, the closed beta is only available for the China region.

In addition, this game will later combine classic levels and new levels. Graphic improvements seem to be noticed, where Metal Slug: Awekening uses a 3D concept and still uses a side scroll camera like a characteristic of the game franchise itself.
In this game you can use iconic characters like Tarma, Marco, Irie, and also Flo. Meanwhile, there has been no further confirmation regarding the new characters that will be present in this game.

Metal Slug: Awekening will enter the CBT period at the end of May for China and there is no information whether this game will be free or paid. However, as we know that Tencent always releases free versions of games and it is possible that this game will also become a free game.
