Reno 5 Pro 5G Smartphone, How Oppo Fixed Past Errors

NESABAMEDIA.COMOppo Reno 5 Pro 5G Smartphone – Oppo introduced the first model in the Reno series two years ago, aimed at the flagship segment with its 10X Zoom. Oppo then shifted focus to the mid-range market with its next launch.

Although Oppo tries to present a smartphone with interesting features brought from the Find X series, the Reno series is not so successful in outperforming its competitors such as Samsung, OnePlus and Xiaomi. Last year’s Reno 4 Pro delivered a sleek design, attractive camera and 65W fast charging, but ultimately had to be limited by the use of the Snapdragon 720G chipset which disappointed users.

With the Reno 5 series, Oppo is trying to fix that mistake. The Reno Pro 5G smartphone doesn’t differ significantly from its predecessor, still retaining the same 6.5-inch dual-curve AMOLED display.

But the big changes actually occur in the specifications in it. The Reno Pro 5G smartphone is Oppo’s first smartphone to be powered by MediaTek’s new Dimensity 1000 Plus chipset, delivering a significant performance boost.

Then there’s also a 64MP camera on the back, a bigger 4,350mAh battery and making it thinner at 7.6mm. There’s also 65W fast charging, Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, and Color OS 11 based on Android 11 out of the box. Putting it all together, then comes one of the best Android smartphones for the segment.

The advantages that can be obtained from the Oppo Reno Pro 5G smartphone are reliable performance with specifications as above. Then the design is also attractive, using metal-glass material but is still able to come with a very thin thickness, when compared to the Pixel 4a or OnePlus Nord.

The display screen is supported by a 6.5-inch AMOLED panel and 90Hz refresh rate and FHD Plus resolution, users can get a very vibrant color display with an impressive saturation level. Unfortunately, the double curve design used is inadequate.

The use of a 64MP camera on the back, coupled with an 8MP wide-angle lens, 2MP macro lens and 2MP mono lens and on the front is filled with a camera for 32MP selfies. With such a camera, Oppo strives to focus on video recording innovation, including by bringing stabilization features, and AI-assisted modes, including night video algorithms and HDR.

Although it deserves to be relied on in its class, and better than the OnePlus Nord, the Galaxy A71, unfortunately the Oppo Reno Pro 5G still loses in terms of a more expensive price than its competitors.
