Ninjas in Pajamas Will Play with Mind_Control as Stand-In at Kuala Lumpur Major

UPDATES: at 4:53 pm yesterday, ppd via Twitter confirm that his team will not get a point deduction

Four days before The Kuala Lumpur Major, Ninjas in Pajamas had to accept some bad news. They have to play with stand-in because Neta “33” Shapira could not get a Visa to Malaysia. Even if they are replaced with Mind_Control class players, the points earned by NiP in this tournament will still be deducted by 40 percent in accordance with Valve’s regulations.

In a statement on Twitter, NiP captain Peter “ppd” Dager explained that this problem occurred because of the relationship between Israel and Malaysia. For a long time, Israeli citizens were not allowed to enter Malaysia, and vice versa. Unfortunately, unlike Tal “Fly” Aizik who has a Canadian passport, 33 only has an Israeli passport, and automatically getting a permit to Malaysia is almost impossible.

Although will still play with stand-in and feeling lucky to be able to get Mind_Control as a replacement, ppd still wants Valve to withdraw the 40 percent point discount policy for his team in this tournament. According to him, this policy is unfair to his team and hopes that this open statement can make Valve speak.

To this day, there has been no further news or response from Valve.
