N0tail Dota 2, One of the World's Best Meepo Players
N0tail was born on October 8, 1993 with the real name Johan Sundstein, but at a very young age he has become the captain of a very reliable Dota 2 team. In his teenage years he grew up like any other teenager who loves games and started by playing casual Dota since his teenage years. The development of his teenage years is what later led him to become one of the most respected pro Dota 2 players.
In 2008 N0tail became acquainted with HON (Heroes of Newerth) and there he started playing games seriously until he met two people who later became the beginning of his career in the world of esports, Tal “Fly” Aizik and Jascha “NoVa” Markuse in a game. From this meeting N0tail then played together and continued to improve their skills until finally a team was formed which was organized by Danijel “Street” Remus which is a side project of Fnatic.
N0tail’s growing game finally made Street combine the N0tail team with its main HON team, Fnatic, where in the team there were Henrik “FreshPro” Hansen and Kalle “Trixi” Saarinen. The entry of N0tail and his two friends into the Fnatic main team made this team’s performance skyrocket until finally winning various tournaments, including winning the Dreamhack HON tournament event four times in a row.
HON’s competitive scene, which began to fade, inevitably made them transition to Dota 2 in 2012 together with NoVa, Fly, and Era under the banner of the Fnatic.EU team. But unfortunately at the beginning of the formation of this team, the journey did not go smoothly.
It was only at the end of 2012 that this team was able to speak by winning the 2012 Thor Open tournament by defeating No Tidehunter in the final which was then reinforced by Loda. This victory then made Fnatic.EU consistent by finishing at the top of various online and offline tournaments. This achievement then made Fnatic.EU appear at The International 2021.
The International 3 was the first major international tournament in the world that N0tail participated in, and he admitted that he was very proud of this achievement. In fact, this achievement was carved out in just one year when he made the transition to Dota 2. But unfortunately, the journey in The International 3 had to be stopped after losing to Orange Esports and sitting in 7-8 rank.
In 2021, N0tail got his second chance to play in The International 4, but instead of the good performance that was displayed, N0tail had to go home early and made a pretty bad achievement, finishing in 13-14th place. It was after this tournament that he withdrew from Fnatic on 27 August 2021 and joined Team Secret along with Puppey, s4, and Kuroky. In this new team N0tail won many top 3 in various premier tournaments such as StarLadder, The Summit, Dota Pit League.
Team Secret’s bad results in StarLadder Season 11 made Puppey have to make a roster change by removing N0tail from team secret and replacing him with Arteezy. After leaving Team Secret, he then joined Cloud9 and returned to appear at The International in 2021. But unfortunately at that time Cloud9 could only finish 9-12.
Not long after The International 5, N0tail formed a new team Monkey Business together with Fly, his best friend since he was at HON. Then Monkey Business changed its name to OG together with Fly, Resolut1on, s4, and Jerax. N0tail is known as a very reliable midlaner player, when he moved to Dota 2, he played with a support role with Meepo’s specialty, the Geomancer.
