Latest PUBG PC Update Adds Dynamic Weather and Bullet Penetration System

After the end of the prestigious PGI 2021 tournament, PUBG Corp. released the latest Update #19 and it is available with a size of only 9GB. Introduced several new features, improved some aspects of the game and a new dynamic weather brought rain and fog to Miramar and Erangel maps.

In the Erangel map, several houses around the river and open areas have also been added. While on the Miramar map more dirt roads have been added and some sections of high slope roads have been lowered in hopes of “for better vehicle effectiveness.”

Inventory management has also received changes from PUBG Corp, such as in weapon attachments. Attachments to be removed or replaced will fall to the floor if the player’s inventory is full. Then players will also be able to easily release all attachments by pressing the Alt key and right-clicking on the weapon. And now players can easily make marks without having to open the map.

The main update in update #19 is the presence of Dynamic Weather on the Miramar and Erangel maps, which will change the weather for the two maps. You will see different weather conditions similar to the Sanhok map version. Even though PUBG Corp said the weather on the two maps still tends to be sunny.

A bullet penetration system has been applied to the hands and arms. So you can no longer protect your hands, body, waist from bullets with your hands or arms. It emphasizes instances where erratic enemy moves will block players with their headshots. Bottom line, having your arms in front of your face will no longer protect you against headshots. PUBG Corp added that bullet penetration is not applied to the legs.

“In other words, if a player’s arm is hit by a bullet while blocking their head, headshot damage will be applied. This penetration system works for the head, body, and waist only. If the bullet penetrates the forearm, but neither body is vulnerable. there is a part behind it, only forearm damage will be applied. ”

You can see more details in a recent Steam Community post about PUBG PC Update #19. There is no further information from PUBG Corp. when this update will be officially available, but it is expected to be available to all players soon.
