If PC/Laptop Won't Boot: 4 Tips for Experts

Maybe you are in a state of panic. The PC or laptop that is in front of you doesn’t want it boot into the operating system. Though maybe you are in need of it to do daily work. Then what can be done?

#1 Check the power supply

On a laptop: incompetence issue boot become a common problem that often arises. There are several reasons why this can happen, starting from the use of power supply fault (wrong voltage) until the fuse shorted the plug. Or it could be that the power supply on the laptop failed to work.

The first thing that can be done is to make sure that the laptop battery is in a state of charge. If you are not sure and there is no battery level indicator, remove the battery from the laptop and use it charger to turn on the device. #2 Check Screen Condition

On a laptop: if the laptop is connected to an external monitor or projector, try to separate them from the device. Sometimes external monitors and projectors play a role in stopping the laptop from going into mode boot.

When LED power on the laptop turns on and you can hear the sound of the hard disk spinning, but there is no image on the screen, then you can be sure that your laptop screen is the problem.

On PC: there’s not much you can do if your PC monitor is broken. But it will be easy – or easier – to replace the monitor power cable or even replace the monitor with a newer one, if it turns out that the problem is with your PC monitor.

#3 Remove the Sticky Flash Disk or Memory Card

OK. Everything related to screen and power supply fine, but your computer/laptop is still stuck, don’t want to boot. If so, the problem may be with the memory card or USB Flash Disk that is still attached to the port card reader nor USB.

#4 Use Rescue Disc
