  • Click Start and type “user account” and hit enter. Then, the User Account window will appear.
  • Click ‘Manage another account’. Then, click ‘Create a new account’.
  • Give a name to the new user account.
  • And give the option to “Administrator” and click ‘Create Account’.
  • Done, you have successfully created a new account.

After creating a new account, now copy and paste all the data in the old account to your new account, you have to move all the data in your old account to the newly created account. The method is as follows:

  • Click Start on the ‘Power’ button.
  • Please click the arrow then select “Switch user”.
  • After that, select the new account that you created earlier.
  • Then, you will log in to your new account.

Now, we will start copying and pasting all the files in the old account to the new account. The method is as follows.

  • Open Windows Explorer in the rock account you created.
  • Then navigate to C:Users(old account name).
  • Press CTRL + A to select all files.
  • And the folder in the old account and press CTRL + C to copy. Then, navigate to C:Users(new account name) Paste all the copied files by pressing CTRL + V.
  • And wait until the process is complete. If there are duplicate files, just press Ok.

And after all the data of the old account has been moved to the new one, you need to delete the old account, because that account has been corrupted and should be deleted. How to delete your old account:

  • Open User Accounts and click “Manage another account”.
  • Then select the account you want to delete, click ‘Delete the account’. You will be confirmed, whether you want to delete your data or not.
  • Just click OK to delete. And Windows will confirm once again.
  • Click “Delete account” to delete it.
