1. First, open Control Panel you by using the power user task menu. Point the pointer to the lower left corner then right click on the Start icon then click Control Panel like in the picture below.

2. After the Control Panel window appears, hover over User Accounts then click Change account type like in the picture below.

3. After that, a user account will appear on your PC. Select and double-click on the user account that you want to rename as shown in the image below.

4. In the Change an Account window, click Change the account name like in the picture below.

5. On the window Rename Account, enter your new username into the dialog box provided. When finished, click the button Change Name.
