Guilty Gear Strive Opening Film Reveals DLC Roadmap

At the peak of its release, the arena brawl anime Guilty Gear Strive made a full show of the incredible opening sequence via a live broadcast last Sunday hosted by Arc System Works.

Absolutely stunning with all kinds of content, showcases, and even showcasing an exciting launch trailer with Early Access for fans to get ready for excitement as Strive’s debut draws near.

Although many tantalizing characters are not playable in the opening film, Guilty Gear Strive stays true to its roots with a four-hour anime-inspired stroy mode. The narrative itself has been the focus of go around and shows the development of Sol’s story since Rev2.

Apart from the story mode that adds cutscenes, there’s still a lot to anticipate after the release of Guilty Gear Strive, because in addition to the new maps and mechanics, the future roadmap also teases a new line of characters joining the roster.

Players expect to see up to five new fighters through the season pass, the first of which will launch in July and the second in August.

In addition to an arena full of new challengers, Guilty Gear Strive will be updated with a two-stage battle stage and color pack, both of which can be purchased separately from the Season 1 pass, along with five upcoming characters.

All of those changes will arrive in-game in Fall 2021, along with an additional narrative section called “Another Story” that will be available through the Season 1 pass.

Strive will also introduce free DLC updates in the form of customization features for Player Match Room and of course the highly anticipated Combo Maker. As thegamer.com puts it, Takeshi Yamanaka’s statement was most excited to see fans “communicate with each other through Guilty Gear,”

Combo Maker seems to be one of the most important aspects of the revised experience. Interestingly, Digital Figure Mode will also join the game sometime after its release.

Additionally, fans can expect the Guilty Gear Strive launch event scheduled for June 12 to premiere on Twitch.

Exhibition matches in the public lobby with players like Giovanna, Anji, and Nagoriyuki allow you to go head-to-head with some of the most famous Guilty Gear fighters based in North America. There will also be a Team Region Battle Royal that will be unlocked for players in Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

Guilty Gear Strive is scheduled to release June 11 for PS4, PS5, and PC. Keep up with Hobigame.id to get the latest news about games. Also follow Hobigame’s social media accounts so you don’t miss updates.
