Google Online Store Has Come to Indonesia!

Not only releasing Android Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, Google also announced a row of new countries visited by the Google Store, namely Brazil, Mexico, Philippines, Thailand and Indonesia. Yes, Google’s Online Store is finally here for the Indonesian market after previously being available in the Americas, Europe, and the Asia Pacific region.

“This means consumers in these countries can buy devices directly from Google, such as the Google Pixel, Google Home speaker, and so on,” wrote Android Headlines as quoted from detikINET, Thursday (5/10/2021).

For information, Google Store is Google’s online store that sells various Google gadgets, such as smartwatches, smartphones, tablets and various other products. Google Store was launched in March 2021 and now Google continues to expand the reach of its online store to various countries in the world. Until now, there have been 36 countries visited by the Google Store and this number will continue to grow in line with Google’s seriousness in developing its hardware business.

This Google-owned online store allows consumers in a country to easily purchase various Google devices directly. Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, Pixelbook, to the Pixel Buds which were just launched on October 4, 2021 and then it is also possible that consumers in various countries can buy it through this Google Store.

Still newly opened, this online store owned by Google Indonesia has been observed to only sell one product, namely Chromecast, a device that can be used to stream TV shows, movies and music directly to television. If you click to buy this device, you will be faced with two choices of sales vendors, namely Indosat GIG and Lazada.

There is no sign yet if other Google products will be available in this store. But maybe because it’s just opened, only limited products are listed. It is possible that in the future more and more Google products can be purchased from the Google Store, such as the Google Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL, which attracts a lot of attention from world gadget enthusiasts.

However, it seems that homeland gadget lovers who want to buy the Google Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL have to be patient because Google has no plans to bring them to Indonesia in the near future.

“This year there are no plans to bring Pixel to Indonesia. Hopefully soon. Currently the closest is only Singapore,“said Putri Silalahi, Head of Communications at Google Indonesia as quoted from aman detikINET, Thursday (5/10/2021).

Google is known to have offline stores as well as online, or in other words, physical stores that are the center for selling Google products in the United States. However, it is not yet known if a similar physical store will also be built in Indonesia or not because so far there has been no direct confirmation from Google regarding this.

In fact, apart from the eye-catching Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 X, there are many hardware products released by Google that captivate the hearts of world’s gadget lovers. For example, Home Mini smart speakers are sold in the Rp. 600 thousands. The physical store will certainly make it easier for consumers to buy Google products as well as experience firsthand the experience of trying various devices produced by this world giant.
